Market stands

These are the three new stands for my straw market project.  I used very simple craft stuff to build them.
The wooden boxes are less than one US dollar each.  Here is a link to a market stall tutorial which I gave back in 2011.   Stall

This is one stand, not yet completed, but it will give you an idea how the stands will look when
finished.

The floor is ready but not much of it will be seen when the market is filled. I want to make more
"straw" mats which will cover a large part of it.

Still a lot of work to be done

Have a wonderful blessed week

Simona's gift

Today started with two wonderful events.  I received notice that thes surprise parcel I sent a dear friend about a month ago, finally arrived at its destination. This was very happy news as I already thought it lost.

A few hours later a surprise gift was delivered right to my door, from one of the most generous ladies on the blogs, Simona.

A model bay house kit.

This is a photo from the catalog.  I already dry assembled it to see if I could build it, as this
is the first model ever for me to handle.  It was very simple.  I took it apart to be painted.  Will
show you the end product, as soon as it's finished.  However, it will have to wait a while as I have a project
that has to be finished before May 8.

Thank you dear Simona for your lovely and thoughtful gift.

For the project mentioned above,  my husband helped me build an IKEA "greenhouse" which I bought
two years ago.  I figured it will be good to put my straw market in it.  Made three new market stands
for the baskets and will have a lot of work filling them.
The hardest part will be making the floor for the greenhouse.  Will show you photos as soon as I
take them.

I hope you all enjoyed a nice Easter holiday.

Blessings and hugs

Scrolls

In my previous post I showed the beautiful scroll received from my friend Jose in Malaga, Spain.
I'm sorry for having
installed a link which did not work, so here it is again for anybody who is interested.  Habad.

The Tora scroll is always covered by beautifully embroidered velvet, bearing the names of the donators in memory of their dear ones.

Have a wonderful Easter and blessings

Tiny toys

Hello again my dear readers

Although I wanted to, and had so many new ideas to work on,
family life, the Passover Holiday, medical check-ups, etc, kept me away from blogging and working.

However, I found two little key rings with creative possibilities and spent a little time making
tiny toys.

A few weeks ago I received a lovely surprise gift from a dear friend in Spain, Jose, a miniature scroll with
Hebrew letters.  Thank you Jose for this wonderful and very generous gesture.

Not being a religious person myself, I wanted to learn more about how the Holy Tora scroll
is made.  I found some very interesting facts on the internet and here is the link.

A warm welcome to two new followers Anna and Mi Patio Escondido, both have beautiful blogs.  Mi Patio Escondido has a lovely giveaway going on.

All the best and blessings to all.
